I picked up a CZ 97 B this week (thanks u/Bobisnotmybrother for the lead!), and there's an issue with racking the slide.
Of note: it has a CGW Pro Package installed.
When the hammer is fully cocked, the slide can be racked fine. But when the hammer is down, or at half-cock, the slide won't move rearward more than 1/8 inch and then gets blocked by something. This happens whether a magazine is in or out.
Otherwise, the gun operates correctly - a racked slide will drop and chamber a round, it shoots & cycles, it can fire from double or single action. (Also, it's accurate, grip is way thinner than I was expecting, and it's another great CZ).
This isn't me saying this is where the problem is, but I noted that the the distance the slide will travel rearward before hanging is about the same distance as from the rear of the firing pin block to the rear of the slide where the hammer impacts the firing pin (on a 1911, that'd be called the firing pin stop / retainer).
Any ideas on how to fix?
